NCNC Privacy policy

Here at Nottingham City Netball Club we take the privacy of our members’ data seriously and are committed to ensuring that personal information is held fairly, lawfully and securely in accordance with data protection laws. This policy covers the different elements of personal information we collect from you, what we do with the information, how long we will hold it, what we won’t do with the information, as well as what rights you have.

AMENDMENTS
If we amend our privacy policy, any changes will be published on our website. If necessary, this will be brought to your attention. This policy was last updated 28th May 2018.

PERSONAL DATA
‘Personal data’ means any information relating to a living individual (‘data subject’) who can be identified, directly or indirectly by the information.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU
  • Full name and contact information (e.g. home address, email address, telephone numbers);
  • Date of birth and/or age;
  • Special categories of data such as medical history or race or ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation;
  • Family, lifestyle or social circumstances;
  • Next of kin and emergency contact information;
  • Imagery in video and/or photographic form and voice recordings;
  • Records of participation at events/sessions/competition; and
  • Records of enquiries and other correspondence with you;

HOW WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION
We typically collect personal information about our members when you apply to become a member of the club, apply for one of our tournaments, when you make a query and/or complaint or when you correspond with us by phone, e-mail or in some other way. If you are providing us with details of umpires, next of kin, family members and emergency contacts they have a right to know and to be aware of how what personal information we hold about them, how we collect it and how we use and may share that information. Please share this privacy policy with those of them whom you feel are sufficiently mature to understand it. They also have the same rights as set out in the “YOUR RIGHTS” section below.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
As an England Netball affiliated club, we will provide your name, contact details and date of birth to the England Netball to administer your England Netball affiliation including the insurance cover. We will never share or sell your data without your prior permission.

RETAINING AND DELETING PERSONAL DATA
We do not retain personal information in an identifiable format for longer than is necessary (maximum of 10 years). Where you have consented for us to retain your data, we will only hold the data for the duration of your consent.

CHILDREN
Children’s data are collected and processed in accordance with the information in this policy. Parents and guardians are expected to ensure that the children they are responsible for are aware of how their personal data will be processed by us. We require parental or guardian consent to process personal data of any child under the age of 14.

YOUR RIGHTS
You have the following rights in relation to your personal information: 
  • the right to be informed about how your personal information is being used;
  • the right to access the personal information we hold about you; 
  • the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you; 
  • the right to request the erasure of your personal information in certain limited circumstances;
  • the right to restrict processing of your personal information where certain requirements are met; 
  • the right to object to the processing of your personal information;
  • the right to request that we transfer elements of your data either to you or another service provider; and
  • the right to object to certain automated decision-making processes using your personal information.
